COVID-19 Specific Information

Are you doing anything different to normal to protect your guests during the COVID-19 Pandemic?

The Loft @ The Granary already prides itself on having the highest standards in relation to cleaning and providing a welcoming environment to enable guests to enjoy this special place.  We are committed to you and our staff’s safety and want to let you know that The Loft @ The Granary is a member of the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers – the eminent trade association here in Scotland which has collaborated with UK wide industry bodies to develop a strict cleaning protocol for the self-catering sector, in the context of Covid-19.

All of our cleaning staff have undertaken COVID-19 specific training and are fully competent in their knowledge of the UK wide Cleaning Protocols for Self-Catering Properties and Short-Term Lets in the Context of Covid-19.  As a result we have completed a full risk assessment and created a detailed cleaning plan and through doing this have become Visit Scotland ‘Good to Go’ certified and AA Covid Confident certified.  All cleaning  is a deep clean between guests – cleaning then sanitising all items – with some soft furnishings, toys, books, games etc having been removed and being placed back in the apartment on a rotational basis after quarantining safely.  We are using a foodsafe antiviral disinfectant with the relevant EN14476 code on all surfaces we can safely use it on and for soft furnishings that can’t be cleaned like that we are using a steam cleaner.

All contact with our guests will be undertaken with everyone’s safety in mind therefore I hope all of that makes you feel confident coming to enjoy a lovely break at The Loft.

General Information

Do you have wifi?

Yes – Fibre broadband is available to all guests within the property and the log on details are provided in the Guest Information folder in the apartment

Do you have facilities for babies/infants?

Yes – there is a travel cot (with mattress and mattress sheet) – all you need to provide is whatever the baby/infant sleeps in e.g duvet etc..  There is also a high chair and a baby bath available for your use

Is there parking available?

Yes – there is allocated free parking within the parking area immediately beside the property

Are there any stairs to get to the property?

There is a lift available to take you from the ground floor to the 4th floor where the property is – and no stairs from the parking area into The Granary

Do I pay for heating/fuel etc?

No – this is already included in the cost of your break – there are no additional charges for heating/fuel.

Are bedding and towels provided?

Yes – high quality bed linen and towels are provided for the duration of your stay.

How far is it to local amenities?

There is an Aldi Supermarket approx 300 yards away, the beautiful beach and many lovely bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance and should you wish to go further afield the apartment is just a short distance from 2 mainline railways stations, very close to the main bus routes (to Glasgow, Stranraer etc) and only 4 miles from Prestwick International Airport.
